Creating your farm fields is the first step in using the AgroScout web platform to control your fields efficiently.
Tip: If you have your fields KMLs or Shapefiles, don't hesitate to get in touch with your direct Customer Success Managers, and they will help you insert them into the system.
- Zoom in to your field location. If you have specific coordinates or addresses, use the search box.
- Select the "Create Field" button on the top left side of your screen.
- Draw your field boundaries. Select Polygon or Circle.
Polygon—To draw a polygon, press left-click on your mouse at the field boundaries and double-click to close the polygon. Please work carefully to make it as precise as possible.
Circle—To draw a circle, place your indicator in the middle of the field. Press and hold the right button of your mouse, then drag the circle towards the field boundaries. Release the right button.
The field area will appear. - Press "Next" to fill in the field details.
- Fill in the "Field Name" and "Select Farm." The farm selection will open a list of farms you own. You can also add a new farm if needed. Press "Next."
- Please fill in the season details. "Sowing Date" and "Crop" are obligatory. However, we suggest filling in all details for better analysis. Press "Next."
- For every field created, your company team will have automatic permission to view (only signed members). You can invite new users to view your field by writing their email addresses and choosing their authorization. So that you know, the user you invite will only have access to this field. Press "Next."
- Congrats! Your field is created.
